The Department of Nursing develops professionals who are liberally educated, ethically grounded, clinically competent providers of health care, committed to serving others and promoting social justice regardless of the population served.
Our graduates are prepared to practice competently in a variety of settings across the lifespan and along the continuum of health.
In our undergraduate programs, you'll learn to deliver personalized, high-quality and safe nursing care that considers patients' unique needs, values and preferences. Graduates of our master鈥檚 degree and post-master鈥檚 certificate programs are eligible to take national certification examinations, while our Doctor of Nursing Practice program prepares graduates for roles as advanced practice nurses, quality improvement managers, health care executives, clinical program directors and educators.
