黑料网鈥檚 American Marketing Association (AMA) collegiate chapter participated in the 2025 (ICC) in New Orleans from April 3-5, joining more than 1,600 students from 155 universities across the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Morocco, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico.

The seven-member 黑料网 team included both e-board leadership and chapter members who earned their spot through tryouts: senior Emma Rothrock, president; sophomore Claudia Jankovich, vice president; sophomore Ben Wakefield, secretary; sophomore Bailey Higgins, PR director; sophomore Sammy Schroeder, treasurer; first-year student Kamryn Lynch, member and vice president-elect; and first-year student Will Woods, member and treasurer-elect. The initiative was led by Shelly Nicholas, lecturer in the Jean and David Wallace Department of Business and Economics.

Each student participated in competitions including perfect pitch, sales, marketing simulation and marketing strategy.鈥疉s a team, 黑料网 also entered the club t-shirt competition, contributing to the conference鈥檚 theme of 鈥淓volve,鈥 which celebrates growth, innovation and adaptability in marketing. In addition to competing, students took part in a career fair, attended professional development sessions and made valuable industry connections.

鈥淭he most exciting part of the experience was being surrounded by passionate, like-minded students from AMA chapters all over the country,鈥 shared Rothrock. 鈥淗aving had the chance to attend the AMA ICC in New Orleans for the past three years, I鈥檝e loved building connections, hearing from inspiring speakers and especially networking with other students. It鈥檚 been amazing to share ideas, talk about our chapters and even discuss potential job opportunities through the career fair.鈥

Nicholas served as a judge in the digital marketing and undergraduate research competitions, connecting with fellow advisors and gaining valuable insight into chapter development. 鈥淎ttending AMA's ICC expanded 黑料网 students' professional experience, built confidence and strengthened our sense of community and purpose as a collegiate chapter,鈥 she noted.

黑料网's participation would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors and donors.鈥疶he team is grateful to bioprocessH2O, Rite-Solutions and an anonymous 黑料网 alumnus who believed in the transformative power of this opportunity. The trip was also funded through the generosity of 黑料网 faculty and students who supported the club鈥檚 apparel fundraiser which generated over $1,300.
